It’s not about you. It’s not about me. It’s about HIM! And then it becomes about us. If you understand those four short sentences, then you understand the basic idea of the whole book of Ephesians. As Christians we admit that we were lost and damaged people, and yet God came to us with mercy and grace. It’s not by our works, but by his grace that we have been saved, and to be saved means we are experiencing new life, not just as a future hope in eternity, but in the day-to-day of now. Paul describes this as people who once lived in darkness, but now walk in the light of Christ (Ephesians 5:8)
